VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Can you spare a couple of hours each week?
  • Do you have a passion to help others?

If yes you could be the person we are looking for

WHY VOLUNTEER

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.

Anyone who has spare time can volunteer. We already have volunteers of many different backgrounds, abilities and ages. There is no upper age barrier, but volunteers must be over 18 years-old.

Volunteers play an important role within our services, offering not only the person who volunteers an opportunity to develop new skills but enabling the adults we support throughout all our services a greater diversity of people.

You will receive support from us  to make sure you are a success.  You will also get the chance to learn more about Autism.

You will be assisting  in the delivery of our social support group services that we currently run.

Whilst knowledge of Autism would be preferable, consideration will be given to those who have an interest in learning new skills, or indeed passing their skills onto others.

You will be acting as a positive role model, encouraging the development of communication and social skills.

The adults  that we support often find change very difficult so it is important that if you are considering volunteering that you have availability, which would be pre planned on a four week rota with us.

Coming soon.
