Social Group support workers
Our social group support service are actively recruiting new support workers to join our ever expanding team.
Ideally you will have had experience within the care sector, supporting Autistic adults.
Our social group jobs are available up to 4 sessions weekly including Sundays, so weekend working is often needed. Support workers can be asked to do a multitude of tasks including supporting people to and from sessions out in the community, taking part in activities alongside our members. We provide our members with lots of opportunities to try new activities across the region and country, so you will be expected to be a good communicator, enjoy socialising and passionate about supporting people.
Our support workers often transport the people they are working with to various activities, so having access to a vehicle is essential. You will need business vehicle insurance.
We pay £12.08 an hour, plus a mileage allowance of 45p a mile
1:1 PA Support Workers
We are soon starting a 1:1 support service here at Autism Matters Newcastle, so we are looking for staff who would be able and willing to help us out with this.
The PA (personal assistant) service matches support staff with Autistic adults to work towards life skills, personal goals, confidence building, starting volunteering opportunities or finding paid work, meeting new people, getting out and about plus so much more! The PA service is tailored for each member and their needs.
Our support workers transport our members to various activities, so having your own vehicle, clean drivers license and business insurance is needed.
